These are useful documented features, but they do not establish which lift produces a more accurate cut in your workshop.
A nominally matching footprint is a starting point. Corner geometry, support and underside clearance still matter. Motor approval can settle the choice early
Kreg links a compatibility chart for the PRS5000. Use it for the actual motor you intend to install, including the required configuration. JessEm publishes a named list for the Mast-R-Lift II. A listed Bosch 1617 does not mean every Bosch router fits; a brand-level match is too broad.
Read the PRS5000 compatibility notes alongside the JessEm model guide. If a motor is not in the available documentation, seek confirmation before ordering instead of treating silence as either approval or rejection.
Compare the adjustments you will actually use
Consider the sequence for a normal session: changing a bit, returning near the working height, making a small correction and securing the setting. Check which tools each step needs and whether the controls will remain reachable with your fence and guards installed. A feature that is convenient on an open display table may be awkward inside a crowded cabinet.
The Mast-R-Lift II manual states 1/16 inch of carriage movement per crank revolution. That is travel per turn, not a guarantee of final cutting accuracy. Dial resolution, backlash, stock support and your measuring method are different factors. Avoid selecting a winner from the smallest printed number alone.
When the 3.5XT belongs in the comparison
The 3.5XT uses a phenolic plate and targets its documented motor configurations. If it supports the router you already own, it deserves a separate total-cost comparison. Add needed rings, approved adapters and table modifications to each offer. Pay more only for a documented fit or a feature that solves a repeated task; do not pay for an assumed superiority that the specifications do not demonstrate.
