Home / Router Lift Tools: Compatibility, Plate Fit & Budget

MEASURE. COMPARE. PLAN.

Get the details out of your head and onto the bench.

Three tools for the questions that are easiest to miss while shopping.

Router Lift Compatibility Finder

Look up exact manufacturer-listed motor matches.

Router Lift Plate Fit Checker

Compare your opening with a plate’s listed dimensions.

Router Table Setup Budget

Add up the real costs of your proposed upgrade.

A practical order for the three checks

Begin with the compatibility finder if you already own a router. Select the exact motor model to see the matches present in our source records. An absent model remains unconfirmed; the tool does not establish that no compatible lift exists. Open the linked documentation before making a purchase decision.

Next, use the plate checker with measurements from your table and the proposed lift. Motor fit and plate fit are independent. Enter the finished recess dimensions, rather than the tabletop's outside size, and keep every value in the same unit. The result highlights dimensional differences but cannot approve corners, mounting hardware or underside clearance.

Finally, enter current costs into the budget tool. Include required adapters, a replacement top and dust fittings where the planned installation needs them. Count bundled parts once and leave equipment you already own at zero if you intend to reuse it. Comparing two complete configurations is more useful than comparing their lift prices alone. These tools support a shortlist; the current equipment manuals remain the reference for installation and operation.
