Opening dimensions mean the finished recess accepting the plate. Ledge depth is the distance from the tabletop to the supporting surface. Enter all measurements in the selected units.
Equal width and length can still hide a corner-radius or fastening mismatch. Plate-leveling hardware also changes the support arrangement. Use the lift manufacturer’s current template for any cutting.

Measure the recess at more than one point if the opening may be uneven. Keep width aligned with width and length with length; rotating the plate on paper does not establish that its controls or mounting holes can be used in that orientation. Record the units before entering the measurements.
A plate larger than the recess signals a dimensional conflict. A smaller plate can leave gaps or inadequate support, so extra space should not automatically be read as a successful fit. Equal dimensions are only a screening result: corner radii, leveling hardware and attachment locations still need inspection.
Plate thickness and ledge depth describe the vertical relationship at the support surface. The final flush setting depends on the installation's leveling arrangement and instructions. This calculator does not supply a machining tolerance, approve structural support or generate a cutting template. Resolve any mismatch using the exact product documentation before modifying the tabletop. Check motor and carriage clearance beneath the opening separately, because those measurements are outside the scope of this form.
