The Mast-R-Lift II manual identified as 02120/02121 is separate from the older Rout-R-Lift II document covering 02310–02314. The current 3.5XT product page is useful for that current product’s fit information, but it is not a replacement compatibility chart for every older Rout-R-Lift II. Keep the paperwork tied to the unit on the bench.

Mounting designs change the job
A Mast-R-Lift II holds a compatible motor in its carriage. The Prestige supports specified plunge routers through their bases, and JessEm says that model does not provide above-table bit changes. Do not remove parts from a plunge router to imitate an installation designed for a cylindrical motor.

Keep carriage adjustment manual
The Mast-R-Lift II instructions prohibit using a cordless drill to power the carriage because it can cause premature thread wear. The older Rout-R-Lift II manual carries the same restriction. Use the specified hand crank even when moving through a long distance. A drill that appears to fit the adjustment socket is not an approved shortcut.
After the assembled lift is supported in the table, follow its leveling and retention instructions. Check the carriage’s intended working range for obstructions beneath the top. A cabinet shelf can interfere only at the low end, while a dust fitting may interfere at the bit-change position; examine both rather than judging from one stationary view.
Resolve package differences before ordering extras
The Mast-R-Lift II manual and current product page differ on the number of included insert rings. Use the actual bundle description and unpacked contents for purchasing decisions. Missing motor-retention hardware is a different issue from an optional ring size and should be resolved with JessEm before use.
Save a setup note containing the item number, motor and any manufacturer-approved collar. Once installation is complete, use the depth-setting procedure to establish a new cutting reference instead of inheriting an old crank reading.
