The useful search term for a replacement part is usually the lift’s exact model plus the component name. “Router lift screw” is too broad: it might mean a leveling screw, a clamp fastener or the main lead screw. A retailer’s “fits most” statement is particularly weak evidence for load-bearing or locking components. Hardware-store substitutions should not be made solely because the threads seem to engage. Thread pitch, length, shoulder shape and material can all matter, depending on the part’s job.
Rings deserve their own check
Matching the center opening is only half the problem. The outside profile, thickness and retention mechanism determine whether a ring seats and stays where it belongs.
