For a Bosch RA1181 upgrade, search for support for the table first. A lift that accepts a Bosch 1617 motor has not necessarily been designed for the RA1181 tabletop. Those two Bosch names describe different components.

O'SKOOL Router Lift for Bosch RA1181 and RA1171 Tables
This O'SKOOL listing specifically names Bosch RA1181 and RA1171 tables. That table-specific version should not be confused with the standard O'SKOOL plate sold for other openings.

SpeTool expressly targets the Bosch RA1181 with its P01004 Router Lift Pro. That is more specific evidence than a general promise that a lift works with Bosch routers. It also means the P01004 should not be confused with SpeTool's P01002 simply because both are router lifts from the same brand.
We have not retrieved a complete plate dimension specification for the P01004. Before buying, obtain the current installation instructions and confirm the exact offered version against your table. The manufacturer page's RA1181 statement does not automatically extend to an RA1171 or another Bosch table.
The motor remains a separate decision
The P01004 page lists selected routers, including Makita DRT50, Skil RT1323 and Milwaukee 5615. Do not read those examples as a complete motor list, or assume a Bosch table requires a Bosch motor. Equally, do not infer that every Bosch motor is supported simply because the plate is intended for a Bosch table.
The cordless Makita listing needs model-specific mounting and operational guidance before it can be treated as a complete table setup. A motor's physical attachment and its accessible control arrangement are separate questions.
Ask for an installation answer, not just a fit answer
A useful response from the supplier should identify the table, lift revision, motor and required hardware together. Ask whether installation uses the existing support arrangement, whether any supplied parts are essential and where the motor controls sit after mounting.
Photograph the tabletop and its underside if the seller needs to verify the configuration. Measuring the opening can expose a mismatch, but it should not become a reason to cut the tabletop without approved instructions. Our plate geometry guide explains why the upper recess and lower opening are different measurements.
Avoid two common substitutions
First, a standard O'SKOOL RTS07 listing is not automatically evidence for a separate Bosch-table version. Second, a P01002 instruction or dimension should not be transferred to a P01004. Similar photographs and overlapping product names make both mistakes easy.
If you already own a 1617-family router, compare its requirements in the Bosch motor guide. Then use the underside clearance check to assess the proposed assembly. A supported pairing should leave room for adjustment, maintenance and control access, as well as seating correctly in the top.
