Check the plate format before the router pattern
The Taytools entry is an anodized aluminum insert plate with a listed 9 by 12 by ¼ inch format. That is not the same footprint as a 9¼ by 11¾ inch lift plate. Compare each dimension with the actual recess instead of treating similarly sized rectangles as interchangeable.
The plate supports an attached router or base; it does not add a separate lifting carriage. Decide how the router will be adjusted and how the collet will be reached once installed. Check the exact mounting-hole requirements and any access point for above-table adjustment.
For an existing table, inspect the support ledge, corner shape and leveling arrangement. For a new top, obtain the correct installation template before cutting. Include the necessary mounting parts and rings in the comparison. A plate can be the right starting point for a simple setup, but its usefulness depends on the base and table around it.
