Fitting the hood around the moving assembly
This SpeTool accessory combines a clear acrylic top, LED lighting and a listed 2½ inch outside-diameter port. The outside diameter matters when selecting a hose or adapter: a nominal hose size does not guarantee the connection will mate correctly.
Check the mounting template and the exact lift or table arrangement before assuming the hood fits. A supplied template guides installation for the specified application; it is not evidence of universal compatibility. Map the motor and carriage through their travel to identify possible interference, and preserve the ventilation and service access required by the equipment. Lighting can help visibility, but it does not replace access for inspecting or clearing the enclosure with the equipment safely isolated. Consider the hose bend and cable route as part of the installation. A hood that fits within the cabinet can still be impractical if its connections press against a brace or block the controls.
