Planning an enclosure below the table
The RT-DCB is an under-table dust collection box. It addresses the area around the router beneath the surface, which is different from collecting chips at the fence. A useful dust plan considers both locations and the airflow requirements of the connected system.
Check the box's mounting arrangement against your table and the space required by the lift throughout its travel. Include the motor housing, cable, adjustment access and hose route in that check. An enclosure also has to respect the motor's ventilation requirements; enclosing the router is not a reason to block its cooling path. Think about how you will open the box for bit changes, cleaning and maintenance after the table is installed. Compare the product's specified connections with your actual hoses and adapters. A port that can be joined physically does not by itself establish adequate collection performance for the complete system.
